Dreaming Billabong is the title for the series of novels that tells a crime genre story with an Australian historical background of a small town in inland north-eastern Australia through the experiences of children. It is also a beautiful coming of age story of the children and while not a romance story it does contain a sweetly sensual romance within the larger story.
Billabong is a waterhoLE specifically a waterhole that forms at the bend in a river. The word ‘billabong’ is thought to have originated from the Wiradjuri term ‘bilabaŋ’. Wiradjuri is the traditional language of the Wiradhuri people of New South Wales.
POV of Novel is Third-Person Limited Omniscient (a.k.a. Third-Person Limited Flexible) A hybrid of 1. Third-Person Limited (a.k.a. Close Third Person) and 2. Third-Person Omniscient .
The author gives readers access to the mind of just one character but also provides information to which the pov-character is not privy.
In other words, we view the world through the main characters eyes [u]and[/u] through the narrator’s (or author’s) eyes. Usually, authors do not present information about scenes in which the pov-character is not present, but exceptions abound.
