Beautiful place but after the floods earlier this year this area is now extreme grass/bush fire risk. There have been many burn victims in the northern territory this dry season and I wonder if the tourism and events earning dollar is not being placed as more important than human safety. One of many recent horrible incidents . WHY run an ultra marathon in extreme fire risk area? :(
